My husband and I exchanged our vows in an intimate, remote location in New Hampshire, and the closest florist was two hours away and booked. Left with few other options, we opted to do our flowers ourselves, and at that moment, I fell in love with floral design.
My journey into becoming a florist began with my own wedding, and the joy I found in designing my own arrangements was truly magical. As someone with a background in science and math, I never imagined that I would become a florist, but it ignited a passion inside me I never knew existed.
As friends started getting engaged, I began designing their floral arrangements, and my passion grew and flourished into a full-blown career.
Flowers found me in the most unexpected way.

Emily was the perfect florist for a couple new to event planning and florists! Her suggestions were absolutely beautiful and completely captured the themes I was going for. Day-of, we were so thrilled with the beautiful bouquets, boutonnieres, centerpieces, arbor decor, and greenery chandelier - everything was exactly as I’d pictured it and in many cases went above and beyond my imagination. She also worked with my mother to make some last-minute changes, which she accommodated so seamlessly. Emily is an artist with flowers; she did a brilliant job and I absolutely recommend her services!

I found Tipsy Tulip Designs through my best friend and MOH who had hired Emily to do wedding. It was exceedingly helpful to be able to see her outline of what each bouquet, centerpiece, etc. to know exactly what each arrangement was made of. When I walked in to my venue and saw my bouquet and the bridesmaid bouquets, I was absolutely blown away. When we had to change ceremony sites due to weather, Emily created a beautiful flower arch on the fly out of the flowers originally designed for the arbor. Emily flawlessly brought my vision to life and I would highly recommend her to anyone who asks!
Elizabeth and Nick tied the knot on a warm spring day in late May at the Essex Resort in Essex, VT. The couple wanted to use soft spring tones with soft romantic flowers and together we landed on bouquets full of peonies, ranunculus, tulips, quicksand roses, lisianthus and other fresh springtime blooms.
