There’s something incredibly special about a wedding at Topnotch Resort. Tucked into the mountains of Stowe, it feels peaceful and expansive all at once — refined but still deeply connected to nature. For this celebration, our couple wanted their day to feel timeless, elegant, and effortless. Their wedding featured beautiful details, classic colors, and a setting that let Vermont shine. Their palette? Blue and white.
Paired with fresh summer air, white pillars, grazing horses in the distance, and a glowing tented reception, the entire day felt like stepping into a countryside garden party.

The ceremony space at Topnotch is already stunning, but this one felt especially magical. The couple exchanged vows in front of classic white pillars, which created a clean, architectural focal point against the mountains. We adorned each pillar with floral arrangements both at the top and at the base, allowing blooms to frame the structure from every angle.
As guests settled into their seats and the ceremony began, horses wandered freely in the fields behind them. Calm, quiet, completely unbothered — just part of the landscape. It was such a beautiful reminder of why Vermont weddings are so special. You simply can’t manufacture moments like that. Nature showed up and stole the show in the most peaceful way.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to a bright white tent for the reception — and this space truly transformed into an intimate garden party. To soften the tent and make it feel less structured, we placed trees throughout the interior, creating the feeling of dining under a canopy rather than inside a traditional tent. It added height, texture, and that immersive, outdoor feel we love so much.
The tablescape was where the blue and white palette really came to life. Round tables were lined with blue and white floral linens, which set the tone right away — classic, elegant, and a little bit European garden inspired. From there, we layered in florals and candlelight to keep everything feeling abundant and romantic.
Each table featured:
Fuller centerpieces paired with tall taper candles keeps the eye moving and makes everything feel collected rather than overly styled. It’s one of our favorite ways to create depth and interest without overwhelming the table.
As the sun dipped behind the mountains and the candles began to glow, the entire tent felt cozy, intimate, and incredibly inviting. The blues softened, the whites glowed, and everything felt wrapped in that warm Vermont evening light. Blue and white works so beautifully in mountain settings because it complements nature rather than competing with it. It’s the kind of palette that will look just as beautiful 20 years from now as it does today. Classic never goes out of style for a reason!
