There’s something magical about a summer wedding in Vermont, especially when surrounded by rolling hills, lush vineyards, and beautiful seasonal blooms.
For Erin and Joe’s July wedding at Maquam Barn & Winery in Milton, Vermont, we embraced a soft, colorful floral palette of peach, blush pink, delicate blue, and creamy white. From romantic ceremony installations to thoughtfully styled reception tables, every floral detail was designed to complement the venue’s natural beauty.

With sweeping mountain views and picturesque vineyards as the backdrop, the outdoor ceremony at Maquam Barn was nothing short of beautiful. We designed a lush, asymmetrical floral installation that climbed the wooden ceremony arbor, featuring romantic pink roses, peach blooms, delicate blue delphinium, and flowing greenery. The organic movement of the flowers softened the rustic wooden structure while allowing the surrounding Vermont landscape to shine.
To complete the ceremony design, coordinating floral arrangements overflowing with soft summer blooms sat atop wine barrels at the entrance to the aisle. Together, these floral elements created a romantic, garden-inspired setting that felt both effortless and intentional.

After the ceremony, the celebration continued inside Maquam Barn, where the floral design carried through to the reception tables. For the tablescapes, we embraced a lighter, more delicate approach with an assortment of clear glass bud vases filled with individual garden-style blooms. Soft pink roses, cherry caramel phlox, delicate blue delphinium, and airy seasonal stems were thoughtfully arranged along flowing white table runners.
Tall, slender candles enclosed in ribbed clear glass added height and warmth, while textured blue goblets introduced another subtle layer of color.
We love the way bud vase arrangements allow each flower to have its own moment. Rather than relying on large centerpieces for every table, smaller groupings create visual interest through variations in height, shape, and texture. They also allow guests to enjoy the beauty of the flowers while keeping the tables feeling open and inviting.
The sweetheart table featured a beautiful floral arrangement at its base, bringing together the same romantic pinks, peaches, blues, and whites seen throughout the ceremony. This fuller arrangement added a focal point to the space while complementing the delicate floral details along the tabletop.
Against the warm wooden backdrop of the barn, the soft colors and fresh greenery created a reception atmosphere that felt welcoming, romantic, and thoughtfully styled. It’s a perfect example of how wedding reception flowers don’t need to be oversized to make an impact. When every detail works together, even the smallest arrangements can contribute to a beautifully cohesive design.

Erin’s bridal bouquet brought together all the beautiful colors and textures featured throughout the wedding. Peach dahlias took center stage, with their intricate petals adding warmth and dimension to the arrangement. Soft pink and blush blooms, delicate blue delphinium, creamy white flowers, and touches of greenery created a bouquet that felt romantic, colorful, and effortlessly garden-inspired.
We especially loved the contrast between the warm peach tones and the cooler blue flowers. It’s a color combination that feels fresh and unexpected while still maintaining a soft, timeless appearance. Rather than creating a tightly structured bouquet, we embraced a more natural shape, allowing individual blooms to shine and delicate stems to add movement.
The bridesmaids carried smaller coordinating bouquets featuring romantic pink and white roses and variegated pittosporum greenery. Paired with their soft sage green dresses, the flowers created a beautiful, cohesive look that complemented the surrounding vineyard landscape. The overall effect was fresh, feminine, and perfectly suited to a summer wedding in Vermont.
